Honestly… I’d still rather work with hypnosis than dealing with any of the web marketing stuff. And so far, my most unfavorite part is working my Facebook page, facebook.com/DavidWelchHypnosis/

It seems like Facebook tries to keep everything about having a good business page a secret. And by good I mean a page that brings in clients.
The whole realm of social media marketing is convoluted and arcane. And it is constantly changing too. So you never really know if what you are doing is going to be effective, or for how long.
The fact of the matter is though, this is where we are today. If you have a business and you want clients you have to tend to your web presence. It’s not like in the old days. Then, you got listed in the yellow pages of the phone book and most of your marketing was done.
Because everything and everybody, and every business, is on the Internet now. It doesn’t matter how good you are, if nobody can find you you can’t get clients. And it takes those initial clients to build word of mouth which is where the business will really come in later if you are a small business in a local market.

Fortunately, there are some places that can help. I found the blog at Boostlikes.com ( boostlikes.com/blog/ ) to be invaluable. There are a ton of little insider tricks to getting likes, to increasing your audience, that are simply unknowable without help.
Tips and tricks, to how much you can expect to pay for marketing and what you will get for your money. To me, this is valuable information, and it’s nice not to have to spend hours and hours searching for it. It’s also nice to have someone explain how to get the most bang for your buck, especially when that buck is limited. And those bucks are never more limited than when trying to get a new project off the ground, or trying to open a new office.
